How does the process work?

A consultation to assess your situation is very important. We understand that you would not be able to travel for the consultation only, so we offer a telehealth appointment over zoom for your initial consultation. For this consultation you need to provide:

  • X-ray scans that are not older than 6 months
  • CT scan that is not older than 6 months
  • Previous medical history
  • Patient information form (a link will be sent upon booking)

Once it is decided that you require a surgery, we discuss a surgery date with you. Your surgery will take place at Mater Hospital in North Sydney. From this point on, you can prepare for your travel. Upon surgery we need you to:

  • Plan your trip to come to our clinic minimum 5 days prior to surgery for an in person assessment
  • Have an EOS scan and additional X-rays in Sydney (a referral will be sent)
  • Pathology test (a referral will be sent. Please have this 1 week prior to your travel date.)
  • Complete surgery paperwork
  • Costs will be discussed at the initial consultation

After surgery:

  • Hospital length of stay is 3 days
  • Your stay in Sydney should be for 2 weeks if you are returning on a business class flight, or 4 weeks if you are flying economy.
